Selection Dates: 29th & 30th June 2024
Time: 9:30am-4pm
Venue: Newforge Sports Complex
Brief Programme Overview –
- Players are self funded and are expected to fundraise, NNI will support with external funding applications
- Camps are one weekend per month, beginning in August 2024 (U19) or September 2024 (U17)
- Europe Netball Competitions
Deadline to submit Expression of Interest – 9th May 2024
Invitations released by Netball NI – 22nd May 2024
We would recommend that you have club, school or Academy level netball experience, or in another sport at a similar level. If you are unsure on whether to apply or not, please chat to your coach or contact Meg Wallace performancecoordinator@netballni.org
Athlete Eligibility
To be eligible to play for Northern Ireland, the athlete must:
Be born in Northern Ireland or have at least one parent or grandparent born in Northern Ireland
OR
Reside in and have a fixed address in Northern Ireland for > 2 years (European Competition)
Age Eligibility
U17 National Academy – Athlete must be under 17 as at midnight 31st December 2024/1st January 2025 and have a date of birth on or after 1st January 2008.
U19 National Academy – Athlete must be under 19 as at midnight 31st December 2024/1st January 2025 and have a date of birth on or after 1st January 2006.
