Netball Northern Ireland are now welcoming Expression of Interests for the U17 and U19 National Academy 2025/26 programmes.

Selection Dates: 21st & 22nd June 2025

Time: 9:30am-3pm

Venue: Newforge Sports Complex

Deadline to submit Expression of Interest: 11th May 2025
Invitations released by Netball NI: 25th May 2025

We would recommend that you have club, school or Academy level netball experience, or in another sport at a similar level. If you are unsure on whether to apply or not, please chat to your coach or contact performancecoordinator@netballni.org

  • Players are self funded and are expected to fundraise or gain sponsorship.
  • Camps are one full weekend per month, beginning in August 2025 (U19) or September 2025 (U17)
  • Europe Netball Competitions – U19 (Dec 2025) & U17 (March 2026)

Athlete Eligibility 
To be eligible to play for Northern Ireland, the athlete must:
Be born in Northern Ireland or have at least one parent or grandparent born in Northern Ireland
OR
Reside in and have a fixed address in Northern Ireland for > 2 years (European Competition)

Age Eligibility
U17 National Academy – Athlete must be under 17 as at midnight 31st December 2025/1st January 2026 and have a date of birth on or after 1st January 2009.

U19 National Academy – Athlete must be under 19 as at midnight 31st December 2025/1st January 2026 and have a date of birth on or after 1st January 2007.
