Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Performance Camp?
A Performance Camp is exactly that – focusing on developing the overall performance of camp attendees in a challenging but fun way. Our Pathway Coaches will work with camp participants to enhance your technical and tactical skills, and give you feedback to help you work on improving your game.
Do I need to have played on an Academy or National Squad before to attend?
No! But camp participants should have an understanding of the principals of netball, maybe playing regularly in your school or club, and have a strong grasp of the fundamentals of the game – footwork, passing, defending and attacking skills.
How is it different to a Fun Camp?
A Performance Camp will be higher intensity than the Fun Camps, challenging participants to raise their game and think about their performance but in a supportive way. Each camp will be led by National or Pathway coaches, with plenty of experience in developing netballers.
You will be asked to complete a short survey before attending your camp – this is to give our coaches some information on your netball background and to help them plan the best possible sessions; as well as helping you to think like a performance athlete.
This will be shared shortly after registration.
