Netball NI welcomes new Board Director   21/06/2018

Following a recent recruitment process, Netball NI are delighted to welcome Helen Stirling (nee Hamilton) to the Board of Directors.

Helen brings a Master’s degree in HR Management and over 10 years’ experience in the private sector. Her involvement in  netball as a player for over 20 years will bring a new dynamic to the Board. As Netball NI are developing their brand and forming new commercial partnerships, her business and HR background will assist the professional approach to securing and cementing new partnerships. She has a genuine passion for netball and we look forward to her contribution.

Speaking of her appointment, Helen said;

'As a former international player who has also spent time playing in the NI domestic competition, it’s a great opportunity to be involved with Netball NI as a growing National Governing Body. I am excited to be working with and supporting Netball NI as they continue to progress on the court at performance level and reinforce this by increasing participation and development opportunities for players, coaches and officials so there is a planned and sustainable approach to our sport.'

Geoff Wilson, Chair of Netball NI is excited about the appointment;

'As a Board we were delighted when we received Helen's application to become a Board Director, her background in both netball and the skill set she has working in the private sector are key elements added to our current Board and we are looking forward to her starting with us as we drive Netball NI forward.'

Congratulations Helen and welcome to Netball NI.
