Netball NI & Draynes Farm   24/01/2018

Netball NI is excited to announce a new sponsorship deal with Draynes Farm.

Having been a regular supporter of Netball NI over the last number of years for various events and national squads, we have now formalised our relationship and agreed a sponsorship package that will see Draynes Farm be our key partner for the next three years.

For over 80 years, Draynes Farm in Lisburn, County Antrim has been synonymous with the very finest milk and dairy products and remains an independent family business producing, processing and distributing directly from their farm.

Known widely for their support of local sports, Phillip Sanaghan, Commercial Manager at Draynes Farm believes this new formalised partnership shows the recognition Draynes have for growing sport; ‘This is the first time Draynes Farm have entered into a long term sponsorship with a National Governing Body of Sport and one we are looking forward to developing. We have supported Netball NI hosting events and traveling to competitions before so we were keen to consolidate our relationship at this time of growth and success to help drive forward their business of supporting athletes and building their sport’.

Executive Manager of Netball NI, Karen Rollo echo’s Phillip’s thoughts; ‘We have always been extremely grateful for the support Draynes Farm has given us on an ad hoc basis over the years but as we are now developing as a business and becoming more professional in what we do, we felt it was a great time to formalise this support. We are delighted Phillip and Draynes Farm recognises what we are trying to achieve and have been impressed enough by our Strategic and Commercial plans to put their full support behind us. Having qualified for Commonwealth Games Gold Coast 2018 and now the Netball World Cup Liverpool 2019 we will have a high profile that will be great for both of us and help us to solidify the pathway for our younger athletes as they work towards achieving National representation.’

Geoff Wilson, Chair of Netball Northern Ireland said, "I would like to thank Draynes Farm for their important investment in Netball Northern Ireland. This is an exciting time to be involved in the sport with qualification secured for the Commonwealth Games in Austrailia in April this year as well as the Netball World Cup in Liverpool in 2019. Netball in Northern Ireland is moving forward in many areas and this partnership will help to continue the development of the sport."

For many within the Netball family in NI, Draynes Farm will be a familiar name and we are delighted to be supported by them over the next three years.
